- What made you decide to attend LFCC?
- Matt: I was undecided on which four-year school to attend.
- Renard: I wanted further education before deciding on a major.
- What do you like most about LFCC?
- Matt: The people and small class sizes.
- Renard: Great opportunities and employees.
- What is your major, and why did you choose it?
- Matt: General studies at LFCC, with plans to study international relations at a four-year institution.
- Renard: General studies at LFCC, with plans to study political science at a four-year school.
- What do you enjoy doing outside of work and school?
- Participating in LFCC student activities and running the LFCC Fauquier Campus chapter of Virginia 21; playing basketball; white water rafting; backpacking; working out; singing in the adult and youth choirs at Providence Baptist Church in Remington, Va.; also Renard sometimes plays piano for both church choirs and writes lyrics for spoken word poetry
- Are you currently working? If so, where and what are your main responsibilities?
- They currently work at Warrenton Baptist Tiny Tots Day Care as teacher's aides.
- Are you involved in any volunteer work?
- If so, where and why? They are assistant Scout leaders and Eagle Scouts.
- When will you graduate from LFCC?
- Spring 2009
- What are your future plans and goals after graduating from LFCC?
- Matt: To transfer to a four-year school that has Navy ROTC and graduate as a naval officer.
- Renard: To transfer to a four-year school and major in political science.
- If you had one piece of advice for an individual trying to choose a college, what would it be?
- Matt: First, understand who you are and what your goals are before deciding where to spend the next four years of your life.
- Renard: Surround yourself with positive people who know you and understand what you are looking for in life.
- Matt and Renard: LFCC is an excellent place to develop skills, realize talents and set future goals - all while having a great time making life-long friends.
