Training Opportunities for Faculty and Staff
Hands-On Training Scheduled for November & December 2009
Learn to Use Various Wimba Tools
Wimba Voice Tools
Wimba Voice Tools include a suite of audio tools that have been fully integrated into Blackboard. These tools will help you facilitate and promote vocal instruction, collaboration, coaching, and assessment. The Wimba Voice Tools include a Voice Recorder, Voice E-mail, Voice Board, Voice Direct, Voice Presenter, and Podcaster tool. Using these tools, we can easily create podcasts, voice announcements, voice e-mails, threaded voice boards, and presentations consisting of content alongside voice messages. We can even chat with our students real-time using both text and audio in a synchronous manner. These tools provide instructors an exciting opportunity to increase the interaction and student engagement level in their Web-enhanced, hybrid, and/or online courses. In this hands-on session we will provide you with an opportunity to create a Voice Direct "conference area", send and receive a voice e-mail, create a voice board, and, if time permits, create a simple voice presentation.
