Chris Coutts


Chris Coutts is the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC). He serves as institution's chief academic officer. His responsibilities include working with faculty to build effective academic programs, developing and interpreting academic policies, enhancing our online program, and managing student services that further our mission of student access and success.  The Office of Academic and Student Affairs oversees more than 75 associate degree and certificate programs, as well as library services, instructional technology, adult education and the GED program, Great Expectations, and Middle College. Student services include financial aid, admissions and records, counseling and advising, student activities and student life, the TRIO program, the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) and the tutoring center.

Prior to joining LFCC in 2008, Chris worked as at, Inc. as vice president, project manager, and research analyst. He has worked on community development projects in South Africa, and was director of Shenandoah University's Northern Virginia campus. Chris graduated from Rhodes University in South Africa with a bachelor's degree in psychology and systematic theology, and completed graduate degrees in educational evaluation at the University of Virginia.
