Dual Enrollment
(High School, Home School)

All students wishing to participate in dual enrollment must take all three parts of the placement test (reading, writing, math) unless exempt according to the guidelines below.

Identification:

One of the following Approved Photo Identification Required must be presented before testing.

Placement testing is computerized (no special computer skills needed) and individualized (first come, first served).

Time:
Untimed. Plan to spend approximately two and one-half hours.

Exemptions:

Reading and Writing exemption:

• Freshman college English course: grade of C or better.
• SAT Verbal score: 500 or higher within the last five (5) years. Score confirmation is required
• SAT Critical Reading: 500 or higher within the last five (5) years. Score confirmation is required

Mathematics exemption:

• SAT Math score: 500 or higher within the last five (5) years. Score confirmation is required

No appointment is required at the Middletown Campus.

Fauquier Campus does require an appointment. Please call (540) 351-1515.
