How do I enroll or add classes?

  1. Click on MyLFCC (Center top page or top right LFCC homepage).

    Add username (usually initials and numbers) and password (a password personally created).

    Can't remember?
    1. Click on New to your college: Look up username and password. 
    2. Follow the directions in right-hand column.
    3. Print final page – keep for personal records.
  2. Click Please Log in located at bottom center of page.

    This will open "Your Tools."

    The first item is the Blackboard account – a shell where all semester classes are located and, once school has started, should be checked daily.

    The second item is VCCS SIS: Student Information System – Student's personal information and enrollment area

  3. Click SIS:

    This will open a selection of folders; choose Student Center in far left corner.

  4. Click "Search" top left.

    Find
    semester (and school of choice) and click on circle next to semester of choice.

    In center, notice green box
    Select Subject: type the three letters of the class: example 'his' for history or "ped" for physical education.

    Below
    this box, next to box labeled "is exactly," type course number: for example 111.

    Select
    campus: Middletown.

  5. Scroll down and press search.
    This will open the window that displays all the classes available. Classes are listed M/W for Monday and Wednesday or T/Th for Tuesday and Thursday classes, SA for Saturday, and Su for Sunday. The time that follows the initials is the time for the class.
    If interested in classes only at the Middletown campus, select classes labeled with MC or Print Graphics in the second column, right of the day and time.

    Classes are offered as regular (16-week), eight week (eight wk) 1 or eight week (eight wk) 2, or 12-week (12 wk) courses. In addition – there are hybrid (partially computer based) and World Wide Web (TBA), totally web based.

    Night classes are usually three hours in length, one night a week.

    All science and many art and physical education classes are combined with a laboratory. Science labs are three hours in length in addition to the lectures. These classes must be taken together.

  6. Scroll down to find desired course.

  7. Click "select class" in right-hand corner BESIDE CLASS.

  8. Press next (center of screen) to proceed.

    If selecting classes with laboratories, click next twice to proceed.

  9. Click "start a new search" in center of screen to choose another class.

    Proceed
    until all classes are selected.

    Almost finished!

  10. When all classes are in shopping cart, click box next to name of class.

  11. Move to bottom of shopping cart and click enroll.

  12. This will open a new screen: scroll down page and click "finish enrolling."

    This will complete the transaction.

    Green check after course indicates class has been selected. The red "x" indicates a problem: explanation in box next to red "x."

  13. Click "my schedule" (center top of page) to open a list view of all subjects. This can be printed and taken to bookstore.

  14. Click "weekly view" (center top of page) to open a calendar view of classes.
    Return to student center page, locate words "your account" half way down on left-hand side of page. The fee can be paid on line at "Quikpay" in center of student center page.

    Financial aid information is located just below account information. Check periodically for confirmations or commitments.

  15. Log off student center and MYLFCC to protect personal information.
  16. Click on MyLFCC (Center top page or top right LFCC homepage).
