EMT certificate courses must be taken in the prescribed sequence, which begins only in the fall semesters.

The Emergency Medical Services—Intermediate CSC prepares graduates to sit for National Registry of EMT's Intermediate '99 certification exam. Upon national certification, individuals may volunteer or be employed as pre-hospital providers in either emergency medical services alone or in conjunction with fire services.

Interested students should apply to the Division of Science and Health Professions at the Middletown Campus by the April 30th application deadline in order to complete required background screening, health forms prior to enrollment. Seating is limited, and priority seating is given to residents of the LFCC service region.

* LFCC does not offer the courses for EMT-Basic (i.e. EMS 111 & 120).  Potential applicants should contact the Lord Fairfax EMS Council at (540)665-0014 for information on EMT-B certification courses offered in this region.
