Future Students

To get started, LFCC has a special program to get you up, running, and registered for classes. As a senior citizens, you should follow the steps detailed below.

  1. 1. Apply for Admission
  2. 2. To be eligible for free registration, students must meet the requirements under the Senior Citizens Higher Education Program.

    To qualify for free tuition for Credit Courses, part-time or fulltime, under the Senior Citizens Higher Education Program, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Be 60 years of age or older.
    • Be a legal resident of Virginia.
    • Have an income not exceeding $15,000 for Virginia tax purposes for the year preceding the semester in which enrollment is sought. (You must provide a copy of the previous year's Virginia tax return if you are seeking academic credit.)

    To qualify for free tuition for Audit of Credit Courses, part-time or fulltime, under the Senior Citizens Higher Education Program and I meet the following criteria:

    • Be 60 years of age or older.
    • Be a legal resident of Virginia.
  3. 3. Fill out the Senior Citizen Enrollment Request form.

    This form will be processed and students enrolled on the first day of classes, for those classes having open seats.

  4. 4. Pay Tuition

    Pay tuition if the above criteria are not met.
