Lady Cannons vs. Christendom College

The Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) faced off against Christendom College for the second time on Monday, September 22 at 4:30 p.m. on the Middletown Campus.  At half time the Lady Cannons were down 1-0.  The Lady Cannons turned the score around fifteen minutes into the second half on a corner kick from Brooke Mort. Mariah Nakai was able to gracefully touch Mort's corner kick into the goal. Throughout the game the Lady Cannons controlled the ball. The Cannons control of the ball paid off and the Lady Cannons took the lead with about nine minutes left by a twenty yard blast from Karen Schmitt.  Goalie, Dara Dillman had nine saves while Elleansar "E" Okewei was a key component in shutting down key players for Christendom.  Each Lady Cannon gave it their all and stepped up to contribute to the third win for the Lady Cannons.  The Lady Cannons now have an overall record of 3-1-1. Next game is Monday 28th of September; 4:30 pm at the "Battlefield", Lord Fairfax Middletown Campus. LFCC's Lady Cannons will play Monday, September 28 at 4:30 p.m. against Patrick Henry College at LFCC's own Battlefield in Middletown, VA.

LFCC Lady Cannons vs. Christendom College

The Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Lady Cannons faced off against Christendom College (CC) on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 4:30 p.m. in Front Royal, VA. It was a game full of intensity and excitement. At half time, LFCC found themselves trailing 3-1 with 16 saves from goalie Dara Dillman. In the second half, LFCC's defense, led by Katie Hurdle and Erin Unger, shut down the Christendom team. Goals were scored by Lindsey Hogan (1), Brooke Mort (1) and Karen Schmitt (1).  As the clock ran out, the score reflected 3-3 and the match was sent into sudden death. In overtime, Lady Cannon Brooke Mort scored the winning goal on a tremendous pass by Mariah Nakai.

LFCC Lady Cannons vs. Frederick Community College

The Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Lady Cannons faced off against Maryland's Frederick Community College (FCC) on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. on the Middletown Campus. LFCC's Dara Dillman provided 12 saves for the team while Karen Schmitt scored her third goal of the season. The Lady Cannons gave the NJCAA team a tough match but were unable to pull off a win in the end. The final score was LFCC 1, FCC 5. LFCC's Lady Cannons will play New River Community College in a VCCS match on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. in Dublin, VA.
