Athletics

LFCC-Lions-LogoWelcome to Lord Fairfax Community College Athletics, home of the Lions.  The LFCC’s Athletic intercollegiate program is relatively new; starting with men’s and women’s soccer in 2005, followed by, men and women’s basketball in 2009, men’s rugby in 2011, and women’s rugby in 2012.

Our programs compete locally, regionally, and nationally.

The Basketball and Soccer teams play other community colleges, private colleges, and club teams. The Rugby teams compete in the National Small College Rugby Organization (formally Division III). The Fall 2012 rugby season gave the college its first athletic award as runner-up in the Virginia Rugby Union Division III and a national ranking of #27 (out of over 210 colleges and universities in NSCRO).

We always welcome and encourage all students to become a Lion (before and during the season).

Visit our team schedules for dates, times and locations of every match.
