Lord Fairfax Community College has a number of agreements that pave the way for a smooth transition from LFCC to a four-year college or university and maximize the number of acceptable transfer credits. Many of these agreements also offer Guaranteed Admission to students who achieve the required GPA and who meet specific requirements.

In addition, in Virginia, all four year public institutions and many private ones publish a 'Transfer Guide' that helps Virginia community college students determine transfer course equivalencies and transfer procedures.

Current Transfer Agreements Include:

• Art Institute of Washington: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates who complete the courses listed in the agreement with a grade of C or better.
• Christopher Newport University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 3.5 or higher GPA.
• College of William and Mary: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 3.6 or higher GPA.
• ECPI College of Technology: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
• Emory & Henry College: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
• Ferrum College: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.0 or higher GPA.
• George Mason University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.75 or higher GPA.
• George Washington University: Health Sciences for Pharmocogenomics
• Hollins University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
• James Madison University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

• Kaplan University: Advanced start baccalaureate option to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates.
• Liberty University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.0 or higher GPA.
• Longwood University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
• Lynchburg College: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.0 or higher GPA.

• Shepherd University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences or Applied Science graduates with a 2.8 or higher GPA.

• Troy University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.0 or higher GPA.
• University of Mary Washington: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 3.25 or higher GPA.
  • Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences and Applied Science graduates to the Bachelor of Professional Studies Program with majors in Accounting, Management, Business Administration, and Information Technology requires a 2.0 GPA.
• University of Phoenix: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
• University of Virginia: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 3.4 or higher GPA.
  • For the College of Engineering a 3.4 or higher GPA is required along with satisfying all competency and area requirements specified in the agreement.
• University of Virginia's College at Wise: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
• Virginia Commonwealth University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
• Virginia State University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.0 or higher GPA.
• Virginia Tech: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 3.4 or higher GPA.
  • For the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Engineering, a 3.0 or higher GPA is required along with a planned program and other eligibility requirements.
• Virginia Union University: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.0 or higher GPA.
• Virginia Wesleyan College: Guaranteed Admission to LFCC Associate of Arts and Sciences graduates with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
