How to use financial aid for bookstore purposes
After your financial aid award is posted and you have registered for classes, your tuition and fees will be subtracted from your award.
Pell Grant recipients: If funds remain after tuition and fees are subtracted, an account will be created at the bookstore so that books can be charged at the on-campus bookstore approximately one week before and one week after classes begin. You will be required to sign a Bookstore Charge Authorization Form if you wish to use your remaining Pell Grant funds to pay for your books.
Eligible scholarship recipients will need to go to the Financial Aid Office to receive a bookstore voucher to take to the bookstore in order to use their scholarship money to purchase their textbooks. Please note that not all scholarships can be applied toward textbook purchases.
You will need a copy of your list view class schedule, a photo ID and your LFCC ID number to charge to your account. Funds at the bookstore are limited to $700.
On the final day to drop a class without grade penalty (the date in the class schedule based on the 16-week session), bookstore accounts will close. Charges will be totaled and sent to the Business Office.
