MTH 126 Mathematics for Allied Health

Presents scientific notation, precision and accuracy, decimals and percents, ratio and proportion, variation, simple equations, techniques of graphing, use of charts and tables, logarithms and the metric system. Prerequisites: Competency in Math Essentials MTE 1-3 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostic tests, or by satisfactorily completing the required MTE units or equivalent. Lecture 3 hours per week. Generally offered all semesters.
