Emergency Medical Services — Intermediate

Career Studies Certificate

The following is a description of current program requirements. Students who enrolled previously should consult the catalog for the year in which they began the program, and/or their advisor.

The Emergency Medical Services—Intermediate Program prepares graduates to sit for National Registry of EMT's Intermediate '99 certification exam. Upon national certification, individuals may volunteer or be employed in first responder settings, either emergency medical services alone or in conjunction with fire services. Admission to the program is limited and competitive; priority enrollment is given to residents of the LFCC service region. Applicants must undergo a criminal background check and drug-screening test and satisfy physical demand requirements.
