Professional Services Contract: The procurement of professional services from nongovernmental sources shall be in accordance with the applicable provision of the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA).

Professional services means work performed within the scope of the practice of accounting, actuarial services, architecture, land surveying, landscape architecture, law, dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy, professional engineering, and the services of an economist. Competitive negotiations through a Request for Procurement must be used for the procurement of professional services.
