MIDDLETOWN and WARRENTON, Va. - The Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Educational Foundation Inc. recently elected a new treasurer. Sarah Yakel will serve in this position on the Foundation Board now through Dec. 31, 2009.
Yakel, a Fauquier County resident, is vice president of the Fauquier Bank in Warrenton. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Yakel works with clients to manage their investment and trust accounts. She also prepares comprehensive financial plans for individuals to address and solve their personal concerns and assist them in meeting their future financial goals. Yakel holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Campbell University in North Carolina.

The Lord Fairfax Community College Educational Foundation Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit entity dedicated to assisting the College in meeting its current and future needs. Incorporated in 1978, the Foundation is committed to raising funds for academic programs, facility upgrades, equipment, student scholarships and professional development for faculty and staff. Founded in 1970, Lord Fairfax Community College is a comprehensive, multi-campus public institution of higher education.
