LFCC Fall 2009 Scholarship Application Deadline Set for March 13

MIDDLETOWN and WARRENTON, Va. – Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) offers numerous scholarships to full- and part-time students. In today's economic crisis, these scholarships are vital for current and prospective students, especially those who may have recently lost their jobs due to the economic downturn. These scholarships are made possible by generous donors who believe in the value of education and have the desire to support LFCC students. The application deadline for fall 2009 scholarships is Friday, March 13, 2009.

The scholarship application process is now quicker than ever before. LFCC students or individuals planning to attend the College in fall 2009 can apply for scholarships by following these simple steps:

  1. Visit the scholarship section of LFCC's Web site at http://www.lfcc.edu/current-students/financial-aid/scholarships/index.html  
  2. Read the application instructions
  3. Complete the online application form: http://www.lfcc.edu/current-students/financial-aid/scholarship-application/scholarship-application-form/index.html  
  4. Provide the required documentation that is outlined in the application form
  5. Submit the entire application packet online by March 13, 2009

In addition to scholarships, other financial aid is available at the College. There are many programs to assist those who are unable to pay for their education. Comprehensive financial aid information may be picked up in the Financial Aid Office, including information about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Lord Fairfax Community College Educational Foundation Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit entity dedicated to assisting the College in meeting its current and future needs. Founded in 1970, Lord Fairfax Community College is a comprehensive, multi-campus public institution of higher education.
