LFCC to Hold Dinner Theater and Play Performance

MIDDLETOWN, Va. – Lord Fairfax Community College’s (LFCC) Fine and Performing Arts Club and Student Activities Office will present “Broadway 101 – A Musical Journey” Dec. 5 through 7, 2008. The dinner theater and two play performances will take place in the William H. McCoy Special Events Center, located inside the Alson H. Smith Jr. Technology Center on the Middletown Campus, located at 173 Skirmisher Lane in Middletown.
The annual dinner theater production will be held on Friday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. Included in the $20 or $25 ticket cost (depending on the seats) is a meal by Shaffer’s Catering and Deli. Additional performances of the play will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. Tickets for the play-only performances are $8 for the general public and $5 for LFCC students.
The show is comprised of lip-synched recreations of musical numbers from a variety of Broadway productions, such as “A Chorus Line,” “Cabaret,” “Chicago,” “Mame” and “Pippin.” Past and present LFCC students and current LFCC employees make up the cast, which is led by Richard Farrow, who has directed and appeared in past LFCC productions.
