LFCC Educational Foundation Inc. Establishes New Endowed Scholarship Fund

Edward T. Bromfield Jr., an early advocate of LFCC while editor of the Warren Sentinel, served on the College's site selection committee before the institution was actually established. He later served on the College Board from 1975 until 1983 as a member and chairman. A resident of Front Royal, Bromfield died in 1998.
The Edward T. Bromfield Jr. Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually to full- and/or part-time LFCC students who reside in Warren County and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship award may be applied toward tuition, fees and/or books and will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. Satisfactory academic progress (minimum grade point average of 2.0) must be maintained for the recipient to receive the award the following semester.
In addition to the aforementioned scholarship, the Foundation has many other scholarship funds that provide assistance to full- and part-time students. Current or prospective LFCC students interested in applying for one of the many LFCC scholarships can obtain additional information on LFCC's Web site at http://www.lfcc.edu/scholarships. The application deadline for spring 2009 scholarships is Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at 4 p.m.
Individuals interested in donating to LFCC scholarship funds may make a check payable to "LFCC Educational Foundation Inc." Please write on the memo line the name of the fund that will be receiving the contribution and mail the check to the LFCC Educational Foundation Inc., 173 Skirmisher Lane, Middletown, VA 22645-1745.
