PLACEMENT TESTING/SAT SCORES: All community colleges, including Lord Fairfax, require new students to take placement tests in English, reading, and math. Note: Allow approximately 2 hours for placement testing. A student who presents SAT scores of at least 500 verbal and 500 math, from testing within the last five years, is not required to take placement testing and may register for college level courses. SAT scores must be forwarded to the College's Testing Center (173 Skirmisher Lane, Middletown, VA 22645) directly from the College Board. The results of these tests are used to help students and advisors determine appropriate course selection.

Placement testing or receipt of SAT scores must be completed at least one week prior to the workshop.
