- How do I access library databases from off-campus?
Only registered students can access library databases from off-campus. Click on a database link and you will be asked for your VCCS username and password. Use the same username and password you do when logging in to Blackboard or your VCCS email. Help with usernames and passwords is available here.
- Books and E-Books
The LFCC catalog is available over the web to search books. You may call or email either campus library to request a book be held there for you. OVer 25,000 full-text E-books from NetLibrary are available in the catalog. You must create an account before you can use NetLibrary books. More information is available here.
- Magazine and Journal Articles
The Library offers full-text articles from thousands of journals and magazines that you can access and read from off-campus. Choose an article database to search here.
- Reference Databases and Resources
The Library offers specialized reference resources and databases online, from Birds of America to Encyclopedia Britannica. Choose a reference resource or database to search here.

- LPCC Overview
The Lord Fairfax Community College Library provides research services for students who are taking
courses at the Luray-Page County Center. In addition to online access to over
200 databases in various subject areas and more than 8800 unique journal,
magazine and newspaper titles in full-text, the libraries provide books by mail,
interlibrary loan, and research assistance to students.
- Books for LPCC students
Luray Page County Center students needing a book or an article that is not available online may request library materials be sent to them. You will need a library card before you can borrow any materials. To issue you a library card, we need to talk to you over the phone. You can call Toll Free - 1-800-906-5322 ext 7170 or direct at 540-868-7170.
Circulating books and photocopies of articles can be mailed with postage-paid return packaging included.
