Virginia’s community colleges are committed to meeting the Commonwealth’s most pressing needs in the areas of access to higher education, workforce development and economic opportunity. The Virginia Community College System (VCCS) has outlined seven goals to shape the system into a world-class organization by 2009. These goals are known as Dateline 2009.
LFCC’s strategic plan addresses each of the goals outlined by the VCCS. As the College continues to shape its future, it will focus on Dateline 2009 and meeting the needs of the community. The links to the left outline the seven goals in Dateline 2009 and the activities that LFCC has engaged in to address these goals.
