Lord Fairfax offers a wide variety of organizations for students to participate in. Below is a detailed listing of our organizations and their contact persons.
Ambassadors (Middletown Campus)

The Ambassadors develop and promote interest, pride and participation in the growth of the College and increase the feeling of loyalty and fellowship between the institution, students, alumni and the community. They must have a 2.5 GPA and be recommended by a faculty or staff member. They must contribute at least 25 hours a semester to club activities which includes participating in college tours, recruitment activities, speaking engagements and many other activities.

American Sign Language Society (ASLS)

American Sign Language Society (ASLS) is a club dedicated to furthering enthusiasm and interests in Deaf Culture and American Sign Language. ASLS is committed to raising awareness about Deaf Culture and American Sign Language at LFCC as well as in the community. Membership is open to all students, faculty members, staff, and alumni of LFCC. No level of sign language is required to join. ASLS activities include games, movie nights, practice sessions and field trips. ASLS is committed to assisting its members in improving sign language skills, providing strong foundational knowledge in Deaf Culture, and providing numerous opportunities to associate with the Deaf Community.
Anglo-Celtic Club (Middletown Campus)

The Anglo-Celtic Club actively explores, understands and shares the rich Celtic Culture of the Irish, Scottish, Galician, Cornish, English, Welsh, Breton and Manx nations through study, social activities, and special events. They strive to gain knowledge and appreciation of the contributions made by Americans of Celtic origins, and to communicate and reflect our understanding back to the Lord Fairfax Community College student body, through performances, seminars, and many other mediums.
Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship

Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship is a body of college students earnestly following Jesus, who come together to worship our amazing God, learn His word, be disciples, encourage one another, pray and have fun making friendships that will last a lifetime! Even though the name is Greek, the club is not a fraternity or sorority. However, if students are looking for brothers and sisters, then this is the right place.
Dance Club (Middletown Campus)

The dance club provides an environment where students, faculty and staff can learn about dance culture and history. The club will teach a variety of dance styles and techniques at each meeting. All members must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA and be a currently enrolled student at LFCC.
Fine and Performing Arts Club (Middletown Campus)

FPAC is a student organization that promotes theatre, music, and dance at LFCC and in the community. The club sponsors the following events: Kids Halloween Party, Dinner Theatre Production, LFCC Holiday Program, Martin Luther King, Jr. Program, Fairfax Follies Variety Show, and a student directed musical or play. FPAC welcomes anyone who enjoys the arts. In addition to those who want to sing, dance, or act, a great deal of offstage help is needed. People from the community are welcome to participate in the events. FPAC also organizes trips to see plays, entertains groups in the community, and hosts groups from other colleges, such as AVP from the University of Virginia or an improvisational theatre group from The College of William and Mary.
Forensics (Middletown Campus)

The LFCC Forensics Team is sponsored by the Speech and Drama department for students who desire to excel in speaking and performing arts. In the ten year history of the team, more than 300 trophies and awards have been earned! Students travel, meet new friends and compete in areas such as Persuasive Speaking, Humorous and Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation and Debate. No experience required.

Student Alliance for Diversity Awareness / Acceptance (Middletown Campus)

The Student Alliance for Diversity Awareness / Acceptance (SADA) brings Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered (GLBT), and Straight allies together through school and community activities, providing a supportive environment for students and faculty. SADA provides education to faculty and students about GLBT issues.

Phi Theta Kappa is the only national honor society for students of community, technical, and junior colleges. Students pursuing an associate degree, having a 3.5 grade point average and having taken at least twelve hours are eligible.

Project International Education (Middletown Campus)

This student organization provides student mentors for international students, arranges for speakers each semester, participates in and organizes Global Awareness Day, and sponsors international luncheons and dinners. The focus is to instill an appreciation of global diversity in the College and extended community.
Rotaract Club (Middletown Campus)

Rotoract Clubs are national community and world service organizations associated with Rotary International. The LFCC Rotoract Club will bring committed students together to serve the local community through participating in projects that make a difference in peoples' lives. Membership is open to all students interested in serving the community and building leadership skills.
Scientific Society

The Scientific Society is dedicated to fostering an interest in science among students. Each year the Scientific Society sponsors speakers in various disciplines of science, hosts the Regional Science Fair Showcase, takes field trips, and awards scholarships to deserving science students. Membership is open to all students.

Student Government Association (SGA)

The SGA encourages communication among students, faculty, and administration. The student government also coordinates student organizations and activities, encourages students to be active college and community members, encourages school spirit, and acts as the official voice of the LFCC student body.
All full and part-time students who have completed registration are members of SGA and may vote in all elections. The executive board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and presidents of officially recognized LFCC organizations. All SGA executive board members must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and attend meetings. SGA meetings are open to all students, LFCC faculty, and staff.
SGA responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: approval of student activities, coordination of extracurricular events throughout the school year, recommendation of rules governing student body, supervision of student elections, provision of assistants for various events, and sponsorship social functions.
